Day 1

Arrive Kochi

On your arrival at Kochi International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Kochi (Kochi) is the palm-green commercial town of Kerala and the city consists of the mainland Ernakulum, Willingdon Island, Mattancherry, Fort Cochin. Ernakulum is the modern city where shopping market, bazaar etc are located.

Check into your hotel. Depending on the time of your arrival, you will relax for a while. In the afternoon you will first embark on a sight seeing tour of Kochi that will include visit to St. Francis Church built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan Friars where Vasco Da Gama was buried for 14 years before his remains were transferred to Lisbon. Next visit will be the Chinese Fishing Nets, which are fixed land installations set up on bamboo and teak poles, which is a unique way of fishing. Close by is the Mattancherry Palace or “Dutch Palace – the central hall on the 1st Floor was the coronation hall of the Rajas of Kochi. The palace with Kerala murals and and Hindu temple art was built by the Portuguese. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, built by the Jewish community of Cochin, and Bolghatty Palace. Thereafter, in the evening enthrall yourself with a special presentation of the colourfully costumed Kathakali Dance Drama of Kerala. This is a mask dance form that is 1500 years old and has 24 mudras expressing the nine emotions of serenity, wonder, kindness, love, valour, fear, contempt, loathing and anger and is usually performed by males.

Day 2

Kochi – Mararikulam

This morning after your breakfast you will drive to Marari Beach- one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. The view of this pristine beach is breathtaking with eternal coconut palm trees and golden sand, and the sound of the splashing waves makes it a delightful place to relax. Enjoy a walk down the sandy shores of the beach and take part in activities such as wind surfing, parasailing and surfing besides a regular swim in the crystal clear waters of the sea.

Check into the Marari Beach Resort – situated on a vast green sprawling area punctuated with lotus ponds and whispering coconut groves woven through and highlighted with stone flagged pathways set in a typical Kerala fishing village style, where beyond you see nothing but sand, sea and sky murmuring their secret enchantments to those willing to listen. Mararikulam – Alleppey (Houseboat)

This morning after your breakfast, you will drive to Alleppey known for its Houseboat cruises. Alleppey – Kumarakom Day 4 – Day 10 (Rasayana Chikitsa)

This morning after breakfast you will disembark from your Houseboat and check into the Lake Resort at Kumarakom - a beautiful village nestled in the lap of Vembanad Lake, the largest lake in the state of Kerala. With an abundance of flora and fauna and facilities like boating, yachting and fishing and scenic natural beauty, Kumarakom is indeed a haven for tourists.

Rasayana chikitsa or rejuvenation is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy to restore the body’s vitality to its fullest capacity.
