Day 1

Arrive Bangalore

On Arrival at Bangalore airport, you will be met by our representative and be greeted in the traditional Indian style with garlands and tikkas. Bangalore – the centre of India’s high tech Industry, is famous for its green parks and vibrant night life.

Check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel

Day 2

Bangalore – Sight Seeing

This morning enjoy your sumptuous breakfast. You will then proceed for a tour of this beautiful Garden city. Visit Bangalore’s famous gardens, magnificent architecture and historic monuments. Visit Cubbon Park, VidhanSoudha – a Neo Dravidian Legislative Building, Former Royal residences include 19th Century Bangalore Palace and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace – an 18th century Teak structure. Also visit Lalbagh Botanical Garden with more than 1000 unique flora and Nandi Bull Temple.

Return to the Hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3

Bangalore – Mysore(145 Kms 3.5 Hours)

Today after your breakfast, you will check out and drive to Mysore – popularly known as the “City of Palaces and Gardens” situated at the foot of the Chamundi Hills. En route visit the Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan built completely from teak wood. With many columns, carved archways, stone staircases leading to the Durbar Hall - the palace is indeed spectacular. On the lower ground floor is the museum displaying artefacts like portraits, clothing, trinkets from the days of the ruler ad the royalty.

On arrival at Mysore, check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 4

Mysore

Post your breakfast today you will proceed on a tour of this city of Palaces and gardens. You will first visit Chamundeshwari Temple, situated on the Chamundi Hills, which dates back to the 12th century, the main deity being made of gold; continue to the Bonsai Garden which is home to more than 100 different varieties of Bonsai trees spread across an area of 4 acres; visit Karanji Lake surrounded by a Nature Park comprising of a Butterfly Park and an Aviary, which is the biggest walk through Aviary in India. Continue to St. Philomena’s church – considered to be the second tallest church in Asia; Lalitha Mahal Palace - the architecture was inspired by St. Paul’scathedral in London; Jaganmohan Palace – that housed the Royals before the construction of the Mysore Palace which displays various paintings of the past kings of Mysore. Later continue to do some speciality shopping in Mysore famous for its silk saris, sandalwood artifacts and handicrafts, incense sticks, traditional Mysore paintings.

Later in the evening spend your time in the Brindavan Gardens, and watch the spectacular Sound and Light show.

Day 5

Mysore – Wayanad(131 Kms. 3 Hours)

This morning after your breakfast, you will check out and drive to Wayanad – a famous north Kerala destination on the majestic Western Ghats replete with waterfalls, historical caves and famous spice plantations.

Enroute visit ‘Edakkal Caves’ - a cleft about 96ft long and 22ft wide in the rock , contains interesting carvings, which represent human and animal figures and objects of human use and symbols. These carvings speak of a highly-civilized people of pre-historic age.

Day 6

Wayanad – Sight Seeing– Ayurveda Resort

Post your breakfast, you will proceed for sightseeing -After breakfast this morning you will visit Wayanad Sanctuary, which has a large variety of wild animals such as Indian Bison, elephant, deer and tiger. There also quite a few species of unusual birds like the peafowl which are very common in the area. The Park is bestowed with lush green forests and is now an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

In the afternoon you will drive to Kuruva Island, a cluster of uninhabited islands in the middle of the expansive River. The island’s preservation and the eco-tourism around it is managed by participation of the local population living around it and the forest area. You will be assisted by a guide to navigate your way around the island as they are equipped with the requisite knowledge about the general environment and the ecology of the island. The guide could take you to the less trodden paths, which you would have otherwise missed. Touring Kuruva Island will be an exciting adventure which you will cherish for a lifetime.

You will thereafter check into the Ayurveda Resort and Research centre. Overnight at Resort.

Situated on the banks of River Kabani, surrounded by Evergreen forest of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve is a holistic Ayurveda Resort and Research Centre, where individual customized Panchakarma treatments and therapies are provided based on the assessment done by the specialized Ayurveda Doctors. The biosphere provides the ingredients required for preparation of natural Ayurveda medicinal herbs. To enhance efficacy of Ayurveda treatments, food products and diary products and also Medicine are produced in the organicaly cultivated farm. Indigenous Cattle breed are preserved which is also the source of the Diary needs. 7-20

Panchakarma Treatment

Panchakarma is cleansing and rejuvenating program for the body, mind and consciousness that includes five (pancha) stages or actions. This is beneficial for overall health, wellness ad self healing. Human Bodies have toxins which accumulate due to the physical ailments, hereditary, society, improper diet and lifestyle, and also pranic and mental dimensions from past life. Hence Panchakarma or detoxification is essential to get rid of all toxins accumulated over the years. Panchakarma also helps in treatment of all chronic ailments and disorders.

PANCHAKARMA – THE PROCESS AND THERAPIES

There are certain preparatory procedures (Poorvakarma) before conducting the Panchkarma treatment :

  • Deepana Pachana – Enhances the digestive fire by cleansing the metabolic toxins
  • Snehana (Oleation therapy) - oral intake of medicated or non medicated fat in required quantities that helps to saturate the toxins before doing vamana (Therapeutic vomiting) and virechana (Therapeutic purgation).

Panchakarma Therapy

  • Vamana – means Therapeutic vomiting which is the process of cleansing the upper part of the body (Stomach, Lungs etc..). It helps to balance kapha dosha.
  • Virechana -Therapeutic purgation It removes pita dosha from the body. It completely cleanses the gastro-intestinal system
  • Asthapana Vasti – Herbal decoction enema - is a procedure which is a suitable decoction with oil, honey, herbal powders and salt administered through anal route which helps in expelling the toxins and morbidities to help enhance the health and longevity of the body
  • Anuvasana Vasti- Medicated oil Enema therapy using medicated oils. The colon is where vata (controls our bodily functions)primarily resides and this procedure revitalizes the lower intestinal tract.
  • Nasya – Nasal Therapy - It is the nasal administration of medicine in the form of medicated oil or herbal juice extract or herbal powder or herbal smoke. Nose is the doorway to the brain . Administration of medicine through the nose cleanses the accumulated kapha from the head and neck.

PASCHAT KARMA(Post procedures after Panchakarma – detoxification treatments)

Samsarjanakrama

After Vamana and Virechana, jatharagni (Digestive fire) gets diminished. Samsarjanakrama, which is a special diet regimen is performed to augment this diminished agni (Digestive fire). When all the agni (digestive fire) remains normal state, then there is normal production of all dhatus (Tissue elements) and respective malas (waste products).

PANCHAKARMA PROGRAM

An ideal program duration of 60-90 days for Panchkarma treatment is recommended to achieve the best results. However, the duration can be modified to suit your specific needs. Minimum 14-21 days program is advisable. However, this all depends on your medical history and reports.

EXTERNAL THERAPIES PERFORMED :

  • Abhyanga :- Oil massage
  • Udwartana :- Powder massage
  • Dhara :- Pouring medicated liquids all over the body.
  • Kizhi (Pinda sweda):- Sudation done by using heated packs.
  • Avagaha :- Immersing the body in herbal decoction or medicated oil.
  • Bashpa Sweda (Steam treatment):- Patient made to sit in a steam chamber.
  • Nadi sweda :- Sudation done by passing steam over the body parts by using a tube attached to a kettle.
  • Shiro dhara :- Medicated oil, herbal decoction, medicated milk, medicated butter milk etc.. continuously pour on the forehead.
  • Lepam :- Herbal paste application.
  • Vasti :- Pool of luke warm oil is allowed to stay on different parts of body
  • Dhoopanam :- Nasal fumigation.
  • Karna Dhoopanam :- Ear fumigation.
  • Netra Tarpanam :- Pool of medicated ghee is allowed to stay over the eyes.
  • Karnapooranam :- Droping the medicated oil into the ears.
  • Netra prakshalanam :- Eye wash with medicated liquid.
  • Karna prakshalanam :- Ear wash with medicated liquid.
  • Yoni Prakshalanam :- Vaginal wash with medicated liquid.
  • Kavalam :- Holding medicated oil or herbal decoction in the buccal cavity followed by gargling for a certain period.
  • Gandoosha :- Holding medicated oil or herbal decoction in the buccal cavity for a certain period.
  • Bidalaka :- Herbal paste is to be applied over the eyelid.
  • Pindi :- Massage around the eyes with a very small medicated pack.
  • Ashchyotana :- Pouring medicated drops into the eyes.
  • Anjanam :- Medicine in the form of powder, paste or liquid is to be applied inside the lower lid of the eyes.

Following schedule has been designed for receiving the best benefit in physical, pranic and mental levels.

  • Every day morning wake up around 4.30 am and practice 7 rounds of deep breathing
  • Sit for a few moments and focus on positive thoughts.
  • Then get up and do brushing and tongue cleaning and using sesame oil eliminate toxins from oral cavity
  • Drink warm water, Take shower and Wear washed and clean cloth.
  • Yoga Session – 5.00 am – 6.15 am
  • Morning Pooja(Agnihotram)  –  6.30 am – 7.30 am
  • Breakfast – 8.00 am  – 9.00 am

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIET

  • The diet and life style is planned by our doctors in accordance with Ayurvedic methods.
  • Do not take tea or coffee while taking treatments, as it reduces the effect of internal medicines.
  • Diet is very important like, Yoga and treatment. So please maintain silence while taking food.
  • During treatment time, avoid using lots of exposure to sound, wind, overstraining in front of computer, irrelevant talking, and day time sleep. If you face any difficulties mention it to your doctor while coming for consultation.

Day 21

Ayurveda Resort - Neeleshwaram (168 Kms, 4.5 Hours)


Have your breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter you will drive to Neeleshwar Hermitage in Neeleshwaram, which is reminiscent of the typical villages in Kerala, a hidden tropical destination set in a secluded palm grove beside the Arabian Sea. Closely resembling the huts found in the rural areas, Neeleshwar Hermitage is a refreshingly different from the more formal places of stay.

Day22

In Neeleshwaram


After your breakfast today, you can go for cycling tour of Neeleshwaram, which is the best way to explore this region. Behind the resort stretches a large network of small roads and lanes that give the visitor a wonderful experience of local life. You will enter a world of paddy fields, garden compounds, shrines, temples and mosques and can follow a beautiful coastline along which lie the traditional fishing villages, where boats and nets are repaired. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day23

Neeleshwaram – Thalassery(Tellicherry) (100 Kms 3 Hours)


After you have your breakfast you will drive to Thalassery, a vibrant fishing town to the north of Kozhikode famous for the 3 Cs – Circus, Cricket and Cakes. It is known for the British Settlement in Kerala, and needless to mention that both Cricket and Cakes were introduced here by the British. On arrival check into your resort on the beach.

Later in the nearby temple, you will enjoy the colourful Theyyam Dance, a famous ritual art form that originated in North Kerala that brings to life great stories of the state, which encompasses dance, mime and music.

In Thalassery


Post your breakfast this morning you will visit the bustling fish markets of Thalassery or visit the ancient fort built by the British which lies on the group of low wooden hills running down to the sea and protected by natural waters. The square fort with its massive walls, strong flanking bastions, secret tunnels to the sea and intricately carved huge doors is an imposing structure.

You could also drive to the fascinating Muzhipillangad Beach along the national highway, which is the longest Drive-in Beach in India and is featured among top 6 best beaches for driving in the world. You can drive miles and miles through virgin white sands or laze on the beach and be mesmerized by the beauty of the place. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Depart Thalassery – Kannur Airport
